We are proud to announce that the Impact Monitor Project will participate in the upcoming 34th Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS2024), that will take place from September 9-13, in Florence, Italy.

The conference, renowned for its focus on advancing aeronautical science and technology, provides a platform for global leaders in aerospace to share research and innovations. Our project coordinator, Prajwal Shiva Prakasha from DLR - German Aerospace Center, will present the paper titled "EU IMPACT MONITOR PROJECT - OVERVIEW AND APPROACH" during the Design of Sustainable Aircraft 1 session on September 10, 2024 (Room Michelangelo).

The full list of authors includes: Prajwal Shiva Prakasha, Patrick Ratei, Marko Alder, and Bjoern Nagel (DLR - German Aerospace Center); Michel Van Eenige (NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre); Thierry Lefebvre (ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab); Atif Riaz and Utkarsh Gupta (Cranfield University); and Mario Antonio Solazzo (CIRA)

This presentation will offer a comprehensive overview of the project’s results and approach, highlighting its collaborative framework that integrates analysis tools and models from the various organizations. The project’s assessment capabilities are demonstrated through three use cases, showcasing multilevel assessments across different levels: Aircraft, Airport/ATM, and the Air Transportation System. Additionally, the paper emphasizes the sensitivity and trade-offs in the assessment process, which are visualized through a user-friendly dashboard to aid decision-making and analysis.

We invite conference participants and all stakeholders to join us for this session, engage in discussions, and explore the future of sustainable aviation.
